Sodium acetate trihydrate is used in various applications. It is used as a buffer of pH range in between to 4.0 to 6.0. It is also used in the purification and precipitation of nucleic acids and in protein crystallization. It is used as mordant dyeing, as a pickling agent in chrome tanning, as a neutralizer in waste streams containing sulfuric acid in textile industry and as a photoresist while using aniline dyes. It plays an important role to retard vulcanization of chloroprene in synthetic rubber production. It is a precursor to prepare ester from alkyl halide.

Anwendungen
Natriumacetat-Trihydrat wird in verschiedenen Anwendungen verwendet. Wird als Puffer von pH-Bereich zwischen 4.0 und 6.0 verwendet. Wird auch bei der Aufreinigung und Fällung von Nukleinsäuren und bei der Proteinkristallisation verwendet. Wird als Beizmittelfärbung, als Beizmittel beim Chromgerben, als Neutralisator in schwefelsäurehaltigen Abfallströmen in der Textilindustrie und als Fotoresist bei der Verwendung von Anilinfarbstoffen verwendet. Spielt eine wichtige Rolle, die Vulkanisierung von Chloropren bei der Herstellung von Synthesekautschuk zu verzögern. Eine Vorstufe, um Ester aus Alkylhalogenid vorzubereiten.

Löslich in Wasser und Alkohol.

Hinweise
