Beschreibung

Ethyl 4-bromobenzoate undergoes reduction with potassium diisobutyl-t-butoxyaluminum hydride (PDBBA) at 0°C to yield aldehydes. Reaction of ethyl 4-bromobenzoate and substituted benzyl chloride with zinc dust and a Pd catalyst is reported.

Anwendungen
Ethyl-4-brombenzoesäure wird mit Kaliumdiisobutyl-t-butoxyaluminiumhydrid (PDBBA) bei 0 °C reduziert, um Aldehyde zu erhalten. Es wird von einer Reaktion von Ethyl-4-brombenzoesäure und substituiertem Benzylchlorid mit Zinkstaub und einem Pd-Katalysator berichtet.
