Anwendungen
Cyclohexanon wird für die Herstellung synthetischer Polymere wie Nylon 6,6 und Nylon 6 verwendet. Fungiert als Lösungsmittel in der organischen Synthese. Seine Derivate kommen für die Synthese von Farbstoffen, Gummichemikalien, Weichmachern und Pharmazeutika zum Einsatz. Darüber hinaus ist es an der Herstellung von Cyclohexanonsoxim beteiligt, das sich in Gegenwart von Schwefelsäure-Katalysator umlagert und so Caprolactam bildet.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Diethylether, Aceton und Alkohol. Leicht mit Wasser mischbar.
