Description

Copper(II)sulfate is used in electroplating and in mining industries. It is used as a dehydrating agent for forming and manipulating acetal groups. In analytical chemistry, it is used in Fehling's solution and Benedict's solution to test for reducing sugars. Also, used to test protein in Biuret test.

Anwendungen
Kupfer(II)-sulfat wird in der Galvanik und im Bergbau verwendet. Es wird als Trocknungsmittel zur Bildung und Manipulation von Acetalgruppen verwendet. In der analytischen Chemie wird es in der Fehling′schen Lösung und Benedict′schen Lösung verwendet, um auf reduzierende Zucker zu prüfen. Wird auch verwendet, um Proteine durch den Biuret-Test nachzuweisen.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser und Methanol. Nicht löslich in Ethanol.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Basen, Metallen, Alkalimetallen und pulverförmigen Metallen.
