2,4-Dichloropyrimidine is used in the synthesis of medicinally important 4-aryl-5-pyrimidinylimidazoles. It undergoes effective one-pot, regioselective double Suzuki coupling reaction to yield diarylated pyrimidines.

Anwendungen
